Additionally, we are committed to establishing free 'Neighborhood Volunteer Medical Centers' (NVMCs) to ensure accessible healthcare services within local communities. Our expertise allows us to effectively recruit and coordinate these medical professionals for the betterment of society.
Sikh Gurudwaras worldwide serve free meals daily through volunteer efforts. This tradition is showcased during special events, like Baisakhi Day in Los Angeles, where one temple serves over 15,000 people. The Golden Temple in Amritsar has been providing free meals to over 150,000 people daily for centuries, relying on volunteers and donations. During disasters, local Sikh Gurudwaras and mobile kitchens will provide free meals to those in need.
To establish and maintain a Langar service that provides free, nutritious meals to the Sikh community and others in need across various locations in the United States, fostering community spirit and adhering to the Sikh principle of selfless service. This Sikh Langar Initiative aims not only to provide meals but also to strengthen community bonds, promote equality, and embody the Sikh ethos of selfless service and inclusivity.
